HKUST Business School offers scholarship opportunities to recognize high calibre students with outstanding academic backgrounds from Hong Kong and around the world to pursue their postgraduate education with us. Some of the scholarships are only applicable to specific programs, please visit respective program websites for more details.

Scholarships

Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme

Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme is a pilot scheme to provide fellowships for local students pursuing designated taught postgraduate programmes in the eight University Grants Committee (UGC)-funded universities funded by the University Grants Committee (UGC). All local Hong Kong residents pursuing either full-time or part-time study in the nominated MSc program can apply for the fellowships. Successful candidates will be awarded up to HK$120,000 of tuition waiver.

 

Dean’s MSc Admissions Scholarship

The HKUST Business School has established the Dean’s MSc Admissions Scholarship for outstanding HKUST UG final year students and graduates in two years admitted to the School's MSc programs.   Successful applicants will be awarded up to HK$ 100,000 of tuition waiver.

 

HKUST MSc Diversity Excellence Scholarship

The HKUST Business School has newly launched the MSc Diversity Excellence Scholarship to support outstanding international applicants who are determined to study in the top business school in the Asia hub and share their cultural outlook and enrich the class diversity in the MSc Programs.    Successful applicants will be awarded up to HK$ 100,000 of tuition waiver.

 

Program Admissions Scholarship

MSc Applicants will be considered for Admissions Scholarship subject to the availability of individual MSc Programs Admissions Scholarship. Applicant’s eligibility for the scholarship will be assessed on a case-by-case basis after admission interview is conducted. The Admission Committee will make decision for the admission offer together with the Admission Scholarship.

 

Academic Excellence Scholarship

Outstanding students who demonstrate persistent excellence in academic performance and professional development are eligible to receive the award.

Financial Aids

Hong Kong Government's Continuing Education Fund (CEF)

Hong Kong Government's Continuing Education Fund is for Hong Kong residents. Eligible students can apply for reimbursement of up to HK$20,000.

  • The courses above have been included in the list of reimbursable courses under the Continuing Education Fund.

  • The Office of the Continuing Education Fund does not have record of registration of these courses under the Qualifications Framework.

  • Please refer to the CEF website at http://www.wfsfaa.gov.hk/cef/ for more information.

 

Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS)

The Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS) is offered by the Hong Kong Government, which provides financial assistance in the form of loan(s) to eligible students to settle tuition fees of specific post-secondary / continuing and professional education courses studied in Hong Kong.

Students who have the right of abode in the Hong Kong or have resided or have had their homes in Hong Kong continuously for three complete years immediately prior to the commencement of the programme / course are eligible to apply for an ENLS loan to cover their tuition fees. The maximum amount of loan is the total tuition fee(s) payable in particular academic year. Details of the scheme can be found at here

The B2M network provides individual support for selected students, with the waiver of application fees and other exclusive advantages including guaranteed admission interview (for some partner schools) to the master’s programs of the below 6 prestigious business schools:

  • Queen's University at Kingston 

  • University of Mannheim Business School

  • Warwick Business School
